Bonjour Peeps! I suppose I am not the only one who is going crazy for the Bardot style off-the-shoulder tops & dresses these days.
They are season’s BIG trend and very easy to carry for all body shapes.
I was in Newlook last weekend and tried on almost all the available Off the shoulder tops, but immediately fell in love with this Powder Blue Top. Because I just love Light shades in Summers, everyone does.
The only trouble is that I hate monotony, and I can’t wear the same combination repeatedly. So I ran a quick imaginary Runway Walk and created few looks on spot. Like I can wear the same top with black Jeans, or with a pair of Khaki Shorts and off course my all time favorite wardrobe essential: Skirts!
Though I have plenty of black skirts but I wanted to try something different and my wish came true, found this comfy Black Tulip Skirt on the next rack.
You can always invest in basic or evergreen pieces but you can’t invest a lot in trendy outfits obviously! Fashionable items that you bought last month could be outdated in a week, you never know!
So here in this Blog I am introducing how you can wear one top with 2 different bottoms to create 2 different looks.
Coming to the first Look, I have tried to create a sophisticated, casual yet dressy day to evening look, high heels to add a feminine and formal touch. Kept accessories minimum and carried My Most Favorite Louis Vuitton Pallas. This could be your work outfit or brunch attire. Subtract Heels, add loafers or sneakers and you are good to rock a casual summer day look.
For the second look, I have added a tulip skirt, a statement necklace from forever 21, my favorite Michael Kors Boho Golden sandals and red Shoulder bag to give it a Carefree Boho Look.
Tips:
- Off shoulder tops are friendly, pack a top while traveling and you can wear it multiple times, with flowy skirt, pencil skirt, jeans and shorts or even with a mini skirt
- You can pair them with culottes, another Hot trendy item of the season
- If you are going to wear off shoulder tops or dresses the whole season, better invest in a nice strapless bra
- Hats looks chic with them
- Chokers looks great with off shoulder dresses and tops
Last but not the least, chase the trend but do not let it overcome your own style. Mix and match your signature pieces with trendy items so that you can keep up your signature style with trends.
