At the very start of This Ramadan i promised myself that i’ll finish all my Eid Preps a week before the big day. And yes i did it! From self grooming to shopping and house cleaning everything is under control and no more last minute tasks to be done.
Eid essentials are diverse in different parts of the world. But if you belongs to Asia and Middle east there are few things that you simply cannot miss out.
Luckily In a place like Dubai you have access to everything. For Pakistanis and Indians there are lots of Eid Shopping venues available from Ramadan Night Markets to Eid Exhibitions.
The usual Eid essentials for ladies are:
• Formal wardrobe
• Jewellery to match the level of wardrobe
• Heavy duty accessories
But the concept of Eid dressing up is incomplete without:
• Bangles
• Henna aka Mehndi
Being a not so desi girl, my Eid essentials are bit different. I prefer wearing traditional clothes but not so heavy. Since my teenage i have a ritual to get a new anklet every year on Chaand Raat (Moon Sighting)
Weird? But that’s how i roll 😀
