My Eid Table

Whether it’s Eid or any special occasion, or i am cooking something special, table setting is the most important part for me. And I always try to set my dining table according to the mood of the occasion and food. It’s even more good if I do not have to spend too much time or money to do it. DIY stuff or re using the existing pieces is the key. If it’s a special occasion like Eid and guests are expected i always follow these simple rules:
• easy to access food setting
• microwave friendly serve ware for no fuss of reheating
• compact decorations for more space for food
• candles, because they look good in any setting
• if kids are joining, plastic tableware for them
• following the theme, do not go overboard
• flowers are always a good idea
• use trolley or any small table to place excess tableware or drinks
And the most important one is mentioned at the bottom, read and find out!
As i already discussed here about my Eid preparations. You all know that I am done with major stuff. And got ample time to pre set my dining table for Eid Dinner with Family. So here you go, Presenting my Arabic Themed Table:

The straw place mats and garland is by IKEA, main candle lamp by HomeBox and small Arabic lamps by Centrepoint.

I was searching this Arabic Majlis Fabric for so long, thanks to Mama she got me a huge pile from some Curtain Shop in Satwa.

Instead of keeping napkins in holder, tied the cutlery in these Flower strings i have bought from Daiso. Cool isn’t’t?

Coming to the most impirtant tip/rule: did you notice the crockery? Yes they are all disposable! And that means less hassle and cleaning post dinner kitchen!
Personally i prefer to serve my guests in regular crockery but if you have such beautiful options then why not? Especially for a occasion like Eid. Less time in kitchen equals to more time with Family! For those who are interested these are by FUN and available at carrefour.

Moroccan Tea! Because no Arab themed feast is complete without it! This kettle and cups are by Home Centre.

Ill update the blog on Eid Day with the Food photos so stay tuned and Have Rocking Eid Holidays!
