Heart to Heart

This time while working on Valentine’s Day issue I had different intentions! I wanted to do a DIY for Valentine’s special outfit. And thankfully I came up with something different and practical and at least it has saved me!

So attention peeps! Here is my DIY under 30 aed V’day outfit idea!

Mostly V’day themed clothes and accessories are all about red, pink, hearts and kisses. And believe me everything with hearts looks appealing during this time. So my idea was to up cycle few basic pieces and make them look V’day appropriate.

I bought these self-adhesive felt heart shaped cut outs from a nearby stationary and craft shop for just 30 aed , and tried sticking them on different kind of fabrics. Luckily I got this pack with 4 different colors and when I was testing them they looked equally good on every color and fabric.

First trial was with Leather and shoes, placed the light pink hearts on my day to day white sneakers and Louis Vuitton Pallas….the end result wasn’t less than Kate Spade!

Second was with an old biker jacket, here I choose only reds hearts and you can see how posh my 3 years old leather jacket is looking after makeover! Genius! Isn’t it?:D

And then the final project. It is my Newlook gray dress which I am going to wear on Valentine’s Day now. Just pasted pink and white hearts on one shoulder. The result is so cute and I am sure these hearts can look good on any solid colored dress. All you need is a pack of heart shaped cutouts and a dress!

If you are unable to find these kind of hearts, just get the red, pink and white cloth from any store or Daiso and cut them in required size and stick with double tape, so that you can take them off after valentine’s day.

It’s amazing how a little thing could change something in to a must have. Be creative invest some time in up-cyling old clothes. That’s what I am going to do from now.
